Don't ask Don't Tell repeal signed by Obama - December 22,10

The policy Dont Ask, Dont Tell prohibited lesbians and gays to serve openly in the military for years where some thought it was unconstitutional for eliminating there freedom of speech. On Wednesday December 22, 2010 president Barack Obama signed a bill repealing the policy "Don't Ask Don't tell' where he also  ackwnonledge the sacrifice of gay men and women who fought in every war beginning with the 18th century battle for independence. This would mark a beginning,  in which gay soldiers in the armed forces no longer need to conceal their sexual orientation in order to serve.Obama cast the issue as part of a string of civil rights struggles that beat back discrimination in favor of a more tolerant, unified nation.Speaking to a crowd of approximately 500 military leaders, members of Congress, gay rights advocates and service men and women, Obama said, "We are not a nation that says 'don't ask, don't tell.' We are a nation that says out of many, we are one. We are a nation that welcomes the service of every patriot. We are a nation that believes all men and women are created equal.''
With a 65 votes to 31 votes the Senate declared this policy to be banished. And the policy was banished but won't take action till late december of 2011.
With this Policy being eliminated from hand would bring peace and releif amongst the gays in the military, not worring of being dischargedone day. I believe that this policy was being unconstitutional for prohibiting them their 1st Amendment which clearly states their freedon of speech, religion among other rights. Obama did the right choice in repealing the policy that eliminates another war out side of the war that has been in progress in Iraq.

C-PAN: California Governor's Debate♥

The two California governor candidates headed into their third and last debate which took place on the Dominican Univerity of Californica. The republican ,Meg Whitman and Democrat, Jerry Brown both faced controversy over the economy, jobs, pensions, education, health care & immigration status. As the debate started to come to a conclusion  Brown was accused of using the term "whore" on his opponent & was seen unrespectfully. He apologized for the use of language that his campain used. In the other hand Whitman was targeted with the treatment of the undocumented housekeeper. In conclusion both defended their side & their plans on reformig California but said very little.
I feel that this debate could have been better off with out all the use less talk that were brought up against each other apointing one's flaw. Being the last debate televised debate should have been more clear and informative to their future goal's as governer of California. The accusation against brown on using the word "whore" towards whitman was useless for the fact that the minutes could have been better used on important events such as immigration problems and salary cuts on teachers. The economy is at risk even if its improving on the way and could of also been something to say on the debate. :)♥
